| Obverse description | Bullet or pod duang coinage of characteristic globular form, bearing the official royal chopmark of King Rama III applied to the flattened upper surface. The Bai Matum mark — named after the bael fruit leaf — is impressed into the silver as a shallow punch impression, serving as the principal authentication mark of the Third Reign. The surface of the coin is smooth and irregularly rounded, reflecting its hand-fabricated nature, with the chopmark the sole intentional design element on this face. |
