Obverse description The Albanian double-headed eagle displayed at center, with wings fully spread and talons outstretched, rendered in high relief in the Italian Art Deco style. The word PROVA appears in small letters above the eagle's heads, serving as the trial designation. The circular legend reads SHQIPNI - ALBANIA around the upper periphery, flanked by two raised dots. The denomination Fr. A 1 is inscribed in the lower left and right fields respectively, with the date 1928 and the Rome mint mark R in the exergue below the eagle.
