| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a finely engraved panoramic vignette of the Monaco coastline seen through the canopy of a large tree, with mountains visible across the bay. The Monegasque lozenge shield in red and white is placed to the upper left, while a crowned circular cartouche bearing the denomination '1 Fr' in red anchors the lower centre. The ornate rectangular border incorporates corner medallions each repeating '1 Fr', and the series letter and serial number appear in the lower margin alongside the printer's and engraver's credits. |

Monaco's Trésorerie Générale issued these small-denomination emergency notes in response to the acute coin shortage that gripped much of Europe during and after the First World War. Printed locally by the Veuve A. Chêne press rather than shipped to a major security printer in Paris, the entire production stayed within the Principality — unusual for a note of this period from such a small issuer.
The Série B designation distinguishes this run from the earlier Série A release of the same denomination. Albert Berthe's engraving work gives the note a quality above what one might expect from a wartime emergency fractional.
