| Obverse description | Green letterpress note printed on a light ground carrying a dense guilloche text watermark repeating 'VILLE DE SAINT-BRIEUC ET CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE'. The central area bears the large denomination 'UN FRANC' flanked by two cartouche vignettes: at left, the circular seal of the Mairie de Saint-Brieuc enclosing a seated allegorical figure of the Republic, and at right, the circular seal of the Chambre de Commerce des Côtes-du-Nord enclosing an anchor. A crowned heraldic shield with a rampant lion, surmounted by a winged eagle and flanked by scrolled ribbons, occupies the upper centre, while decorative ribbon bows appear at upper left and right. | Reverse lettering | La présente coupure ayant cours dans le département des Côtes-du-Nord sera échangeable à la succursale de la Banque de France de Saint-Brieuc, mais la Banque n'échangera pas pour une somme moindre de 20 francs. En attendant leur liquidation définitive, tout porteur de ces bons pourra en exiger le remboursement, même à vue, lorsqu'il en présentera pour une somme d'au moins 100 francs. S'il y a moins de 100 francs, cette somme pourra être complétée par des billets de la Banque de France. Le Conseil municipal de Saint-Brieuc et la Chambre de Commerce des Côtes-du-Nord détermineront l'époque de la liquidation des bons, la période de remboursement ne pouvant être inférieure à cinq ans à partir de la date d'émission des premiers bons. |
