Obverse description Plain typeset bon de nécessité in letterpress, with the title BON DES RÉGIONS DE SAINT-QUENTIN & DE GUISE at head and the denomination UN FRANC centered. The text body specifies the controlling authority, place of issue (5, rue d'Isle, Saint-Quentin), and the redemption conditions, with the denomination numeral '1' repeated in the upper corners. A note at foot records the deliberation date of 8 August 1916 and provides spaces for the President and two Members of the Commission to sign.
