| Reverse description | A centrally placed sugar cane plant, rendered with naturalistic detail showing broad arching leaves and a tall central stalk, divides the date 1903 in the lower exergue. The denomination 1 F. appears prominently in the upper field, flanking the top of the plant. The circular legend BON POUR above and CONTRE·VALEUR·DÉPOSÉE·AU·TRÉSOR· around the lower periphery, separated by raised dots, affirms the token nature of the issue as a countervalue deposited with the Treasury. The overall composition is boldly struck with clear fields, consistent with a piedfort pattern striking. |
