Reverse description The crowned and mantled coat of arms of Monaco occupies the central field, with the lozengy shield of the Grimaldi dynasty supported by two armored figures holding lances and draped in the heraldic mantle surmounted by the princely crown. The numeral 1 appears in the field to each side of the arms, and the denomination FRANC is inscribed in bold letters along the lower margin. The motto DEO JUVANTE appears on a scroll at the base of the arms, and the design is enclosed by a beaded inner border.
