| Obverse description | Conjoined busts of King Leopold I and King Leopold II in right-facing profile, displayed in high relief. The name LEOPOLD I appears to the left of the effigies and LEOPOLD II to the right, rendered in Latin script. A five-pointed star is positioned above the portraits, serving as a decorative separator. The engraver's signature L. WIENER appears in small letters below the busts near the lower rim. The composition commemorates the dynastic succession of Belgium's first two monarchs on the occasion of the nation's 50th anniversary of independence. |
