Reverse description Central design features the standing figure of the Semeuse (the sower), modelled after Oscar Roty's celebrated design, depicted striding left and sowing seeds, holding a staff in her left hand. The large denomination numeral '1F' is prominently displayed in the field to the left of the figure. Two decorative sprigs — an olive branch to the left and an oak branch to the right — frame the composition. The Republican motto LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE is inscribed along the outer periphery, with the date 1996 split across the lower field. The mint mark and engraver's privy marks appear in the lower exergue area.
