Reverse description A wreath composed of an oak branch to the left and an alpine rose (rhododendron) branch to the right frames the central field, the two sprays meeting at the top and joined at the base by a flowing ribbon bow. The denomination '1 Fr.' is struck in bold roman lettering in the upper centre of the field, with the date of issue below it. The mint mark 'B' for the Bern Mint appears in the lower exergual area beneath the ribbon. The design is finished with a finely milled border.
