The centre bears the large denomination legend 'UN FRANC' within an elaborate scrollwork and foliate border frame typical of French emergency currency of the First World War period. The upper portion carries the dual authority inscriptions 'VILLE D'ORLÉANS' and 'CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DU LOIRET' flanking the central axis. A circular green medallion at lower centre contains the numeral '1fr', flanked by two text panels with legal guarantee and redemption clauses. |
