| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in brown on cream paper and centres on an ornate arched vignette framing the denomination legend "UN FRANC" in bold letterpress. At the top, the arms of Tours are set within an elaborate scrollwork cartouche flanked by the issuer's name. Two winged putti flank the central field: the left figure stands beside a palm frond and a barrel, the right reclines among a cornucopia of fruit and flowers. The "RF" monogram appears on a decorative urn at centre-bottom, with facsimile signatures of the Treasurer and President printed above, and the serial number at lower right. |

A decorative arched banner at the top bears the emission date, with the numeral "1" set in circular medallions at each upper corner. |
