| Obverse description | Printed in brown on paper, the obverse is framed by an ornate guilloche border surmounted by a crowned coat of arms and the legend "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE POITIERS & DE LA VIENNE". The central value cartouche reading "UN FRANC" is flanked by allegorical figures and a female bust, with full-length vignettes of General Joffre in military uniform to the left and the medieval warrior Charles Martel to the right.
