| 裏面の説明 | Blue on cream paper, the reverse carries three oval vignettes: a Romanesque church at left, a panoramic view of Périgueux with the domed cathedral of Saint-Front reflected in the river at centre, and medieval tower ruins at right. The denomination 1fr appears at upper left and right corners with oak and olive sprigs. Below the vignettes, a redemption clause is printed in letterpress, flanked by interlaced CC monograms at the lower corners, with the issue year 1920 and expiry year 1925 flanking a central cartouche bearing the date 30 JUIN 1920. |

French chambers of commerce were authorized to issue emergency small-denomination notes during and after the First World War to compensate for the near-total disappearance of metal coinage from circulation. The Périgueux chamber's notes from this period were printed locally by Ronteix rather than by one of the major Paris houses — an unusual choice that kept production costs and turnaround time within the Dordogne itself. L. Pigeon's design credit appears in the plate, though little else about this designer survives in the commercial printing literature of the period.
JP#98-26 places this as the 24th documented type in the Périgueux series, reflecting just how many successive issues the chamber required to sustain local commerce through the postwar monetary disruption.
