| 背面描述 | The reverse is printed in brown and sage-green on a pale ground, with a broad guilloche frame enclosing a plain central field. Two large circular vignettes at left and right each bear the numeral «1 fr.» in white on a dark ground. | 备注 |
Emergency fractional notes issued by French chambers of commerce during and after the First World War filled a specific practical gap: the near-total disappearance of small silver coinage, hoarded by a public who understood that metal held value in ways paper might not. The Nancy chamber entered this space in 1916 and kept issuing into the early 1920s, well past the armistice, because coin scarcity outlasted the fighting by years.
Printed locally by Imprimeries Réunies de Nancy, the series stayed entirely within the city it served — from press to pocket. The JP#87- prefix covers multiple sub-varieties within the Nancy 1 Franc type; collectors should verify the specific letter suffix before attribution.
