The denomination UN FRANC is printed in large bold letters at centre, flanked by two circular value cartouches each reading '1fr.' At centre, an oval vignette carries the chamber's seal with a fortified castle tower. Signature lines for Le Trésorier and Le Président appear to either side of the central vignette, with the series letter and serial number at lower left and right respectively. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Plain cream paper printed in brown letterpress with an ornamental border of interlaced guilloche and floral corner rosettes. The issuer's name and ministerial authorisation date appear at the top, followed by a block of legal text in French setting out redemption conditions and a five-year prescription period from 28 February 1917. A circular ink stamp of the Chambre de Commerce de Montluçon-Gannat is applied at lower left, validating the note as required by the printed caveat. |
