| Obverse description | Printed in teal-blue on cream paper, the obverse is centred on a fine guilloche underprint overlaid with the Chambre de Commerce monogram, flanked by two allegorical vignettes: at left, a seated male figure at an anvil representing industry and labour; at right, a mural-crowned female figure amid produce personifying the city of Marseille. The inscription CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE MARSEILLE arches across the upper register above the bold letterpress denomination UN FRANC, while the lower portion carries the series designation, the arms of Marseille, and three manuscript signatures of the Trésorier and Membres Délégués. |

| Reverse description | The reverse, in the same teal-blue on cream paper, is enclosed within an ornate foliate letterpress border with numeral-1 medallions at each upper corner. A central octagonal vignette bearing the seal of Marseille with a harbour scene divides two columns of legal text governing redemption conditions in Billets de la Banque de France, above which two lines set out the issuing authority; the authorising deliberation of 5 November 1915 is cited in italic lettering, and the printer's imprint appears at lower right. |
