| Obverse description | Printed in blue-green on a pale ground, the obverse carries a dense letterpress underprint of the text 'CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE CARCASSONNE' repeated across the entire field, over which the word 'CARCASSONNE' appears as a large pale guilloche watermark-style underprint in the centre. The issuer's title is set in bold capitals at the top, below which the deliberation date and denomination 'UN FRANC' appear in large dark-blue letterpress type. Two facsimile signature lines for the Treasurer and the President flank a printed serial number at centre-bottom, with a legal guarantee clause in small type along the lower margin; the whole is enclosed within an ornate geometric border with decorative corner pieces. |
