| Obverse description | Letterpress-printed emergency issue in dark blue-green on a pale ground, with an elaborate guilloche border enclosing interlaced geometric panels and ornamental cartouches at the four corners bearing an issuer monogram. A light blue tinted underprint fills the central oval, which carries the large numeral "1" alongside the bold denomination legend UN FRANC. The date 2 JUILLET 1918, series number, and two facsimile manuscript signatures appear within the oval, with the printer's imprint at the lower margin. |
