背面描述 Black letterpress on a light blue guilloche underprint, within an elaborately engraved dark border of scrollwork and acanthus ornaments. A central oval bears the crowned municipal arms of Blois, encircled by the legend CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE BLOIS ET DE LOIR-ET-CHER, flanked by two symmetrical palm-frond vignettes in blue; the redemption notice appears in a cartouche at the upper centre, surmounted by an interlaced monogram. Denomination roundels carrying "1 fr." are placed at the left and right margins.

备注

French chambers of commerce were authorized to issue emergency small-denomination notes in 1914 after the outbreak of war triggered an immediate hoarding crisis that stripped coins from circulation almost overnight. The Blois chamber was among dozens of regional bodies that stepped into the void, producing locally valid fractional currency to keep commerce moving. Arnaud's Lyon-Paris operation printed a significant portion of these provincial issues, and the watermarked paper they used was a deliberate anti-counterfeiting measure at a time when small notes were being forged across the Loire region.
