| 表面の説明 | Brown and ochre note with a geometric guilloche border enclosing the full design. A rectangular cartouche at the top centre bears the issuer's name in bold letterpress; flanking oak and laurel branch vignettes occupy the upper corners. The large denomination «UN FRANC» is printed in bold relief lettering across the centre, above a serial number and below two manuscript signature lines captioned «LE PRÉSIDENT» and «LE TRÉSORIER». The date appears in an ornamental cartouche at the foot of the note, with numeral «1» medallions set into the left and right margins. |

French chambers of commerce were granted emergency authority to issue small-denomination nécessité notes in August 1914, within weeks of mobilization, as the hoarding of coins and the withdrawal of Banque de France notes from circulation created an acute shortage of small change. Bergerac's chamber was among the earliest provincial issuers to act on this authorization. Pierre Dumont in Limoges printed for several southwestern chambers during this period, which accounts for the stylistic similarities collectors sometimes notice across otherwise unrelated issuers.
The JP#24.4–5 and 24.13 references indicate multiple signature or date variants within the type — worth distinguishing, as some are considerably scarcer than others.
