| Beschrijving voorzijde | Blue-green and dark brown letterpress emergency note of the Première Série, with the municipal arms of Croix at upper left and Wasquehal at upper right flanking the central title text. The denomination UN FRANC appears in large bold lettering within a dark panel at centre, below which a small circular vignette of Marianne with laurel wreath is set between the two mayors' manuscript signatures; the guarantee text citing the Municipal Council deliberations of 7 November 1914 and the Prefect's approval of 10 November 1914 is printed in fine script below the denomination panel. A guilloche border frames the entire note, with a validity notice running along the lower margin. |

A circular official rubber cachет of the Ville de Wasquehal is applied in black ink at centre-right, validating the note as required by the obverse notice. The overall layout is unadorned, with the legal text serving as the principal design element against a lightly tinted guilloche underprint. |
