André Krajewski was a French merchant operating in New Caledonia who issued private emergency currency during the post-WWI coin shortage that plagued the Pacific territories. The Carlisle & Co. imprint is the telling detail. A San Francisco commercial printer handling Pacific Basin trade work, they produced similar emergency scrip for several regional issuers.
