Reverse description A tall, naturalistically rendered oil palm tree dominates the central field, its fronds sweeping outward symmetrically to left and right. The denomination numeral 1 and the letter F (for Franc) flank the trunk in large raised characters at mid-field, with the date 1930 divided by the base of the trunk in the lower central area. The legend CONGO BELGE curves along the lower portion of the field in large serif capitals. A continuous beaded border encircles the design.
