The centre field bears the large denomination text "UN FRANC" in bold red, with the issuing authority "GOUVERNEMENT GÉNÉRAL DE L'AFRIQUE ÉQUATORIALE FRANÇAISE" above, all set against a microtext underprint repeating the issuer's name. Stylised palm frond vignettes flank both sides, with numeral "1" counters in circular cartouches at each corner, two manuscript signatures below the central text, and the serial number in a rectangular panel at the foot; the printer's imprint "IMP.
