Descrição do anverso	The crowned coat of arms of the Belgian Congo occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a lion passant and horizontal bands, surmounted by a royal crown. The date is split on either side of the shield, with '19' to the left and the last two digits to the right. The legend 'BELGISCH CONGO BELGE' curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, while 'RUANDA-URUNDI' follows the lower arc, separated from the upper legend by two small five-pointed stars at the sides.

The denomination '1 F' is displayed in large raised numerals and lettering in the lower central field, with the trunk of the palm serving as the dividing element between the numeral and the franc abbreviation. The legend 'BANQUE CENTRALE' curves along the upper periphery, while 'CENTRALE BANK' follows the lower arc, both separated by small five-pointed stars at either side, presenting the issuer's name bilingually in French and Dutch.
