The Belgian crowned coat of arms appears at the top centre, with the Dutch-language bank title 'NATIONALE BANK VAN BELGIE' arched above it. The denomination 'EEN FRANK' is set in a rectangular panel, with 'BETAALBAAR OP ZICHT' beneath, and a penal clause cartouche at the lower centre.
