| Reverse description | Latin legend reading ROGERIVS / REX arranged in two lines at the center of the coin, with a small pellet above and below the text, all contained within a plain inner circle. The inscription identifies Roger, the co-ruler and son of Tancred, as king. A beaded border runs along the periphery of the flan. The lettering is characteristic of the crude but legible Latin epigraphy employed on Norman-Sicilian follari of this period. |
