Obverse description Standing frontal figure of Saint Tryphon, patron saint of Cattaro (Kotor), shown nimbate and clad in liturgical vestments, occupying the central field. The saint is depicted in a hieratic, stylized manner characteristic of late medieval Adriatic coinage. A Latin legend encircles the type, identifying the saint and the issuing city.

Reverse description The winged lion of Saint Mark passant, emblematic of Venetian sovereignty, depicted in profile facing left with wings spread and resting one forepaw upon a shield bearing the arms of Cattaro, in accordance with the Venetian bagattino tradition. A surrounding Latin legend asserts Venetian authority over the city. The type closely follows contemporary Venetian copper coinage conventions adapted for local colonial circulation.
