| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of Queen Victoria, rendered after the model by Sir Joseph Edgar Boehm. The effigy depicts the Queen wearing the Small Diamond Crown atop a widow's cap with embroidered veil, a pearl necklace with pendant, and a pearl earring. The breast of the figure bears the ribbon and star of the Order of the Garter along with the badge of the Order of the Crown of India. The encircling legend reads VICTORIA DEI GRATIA I . E . B ., interrupted by the truncation of the bust. |
