Reverse description The Commonwealth of Australia coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a heraldic shield surmounted by a St. Edward's Crown, supported on the dexter side by a kangaroo and on the sinister side by an emu, both standing on a grassy mount. The shield is quartered with the badges of the six Australian states, and native wattle sprigs flank the supporters on either side. The denomination FLORIN appears in the upper legend, flanked by six-pointed stars, with the date and AUSTRALIA inscribed in two lines at the base. The engraver's initials K·G (Kruger Gray) appear to the right of the emu.
