| Descrizione del rovescio | Central device depicting the quartered shield of the Fiji colonial coat of arms, featuring in the chief a passant lion on a field, and in the four quarters: sugar cane, a coconut palm, a dove with olive branch, and a bunch of bananas, all rendered in crisp relief. The date is divided on either side of the shield, '19' to the left and '42' (or '43') to the right. The legend 'FIJI' arcs across the upper field and 'FLORIN' curves along the lower field in bold incuse lettering. The San Francisco Mint 'S' mintmark appears below the shield near the base. A beaded border surrounds the entire reverse design. |
