Reverse description The reverse presents a six-line Latin monetary inscription set within a rectangular tablet or cartouche, the surrounding field richly ornamented with symmetrical foliate scrolls and volutes in the late Renaissance decorative manner. The abbreviated text, rendered in formal Roman capital letters, records the denomination as one gold florin and its exchange equivalent in lire and soldi. The ornamental framework, composed of symmetrical volutes and leafwork, reflects the refined decorative vocabulary characteristic of northern Italian lordship coinage of the early seventeenth century.
