| Beschrijving voorzijde | The young king Edward VI is depicted enthroned facing front in full regalia, crowned and robed, holding an orb in his left hand and a sceptre in his right. The throne is elaborately decorated with Tudor architectural detail, flanked by pillars surmounted by crowns and lions. A portcullis appears beneath the throne at the base of the design. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the royal legend running in uncial Gothic characters within the outer border. |
