Jordan's fils coinage of this period was issued under the authority of the Central Bank, established in 1964 — meaning earlier dates in this series technically predate the institution named on later issues, having been authorized instead under the Jordan Currency Board. The transition between those two bodies was administrative rather than dramatic, but it makes the pre-1964 dates marginally distinct in terms of issuing authority.
