Reverse description A crowned baroque cartouche displaying the manifold quartered arms of the Spanish Habsburg dynasty, elaborately framed with scrollwork and ornamental devices characteristic of late 17th- to early 18th-century Milanese coinage. The heraldic shield bears the composite arms of Castile, León, Aragon, and other territories. The encircling Latin legend, commencing at upper right, reads MEDIOLANI· DVX·ET·C·, denoting Philip's title as Duke of Milan. A beaded inner border surrounds the design.
