| Reverse description | Central field presents a prominent heraldic shield bearing the Teutonic cross of the Order, set within an ornate mantle or drapery surround, enclosed by a beaded inner circle. Small decorative rosette stops punctuate the surrounding legend, which runs in Gothic characters along the outer periphery of the flan. The design, typical of Livonian Order coinage of the mid-sixteenth century, is struck on an irregular hammered planchet with well-worn details consistent with circulation use. |
