Obverse description Central field dominated by a quartered shield of the Livonian Order, divided by an ornate cross and displaying the characteristic Teutonic cross in the upper-left quarter alongside a rampant lion in the upper-right quarter, with corresponding charges in the lower quarters, all set within elaborate scrollwork and filigree mantling. The shield is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A continuous Latin legend runs along the coin's periphery, partially visible due to the irregular flan.
