Reverse description Central field displays the elaborate quartered and sub-quartered arms of Wilhelm von Brandenburg, Archbishop of Riga, presented as a complex heraldic shield incorporating a cross with additional charges in each canton, flanked by small decorative ornaments in the field. The arms are boldly rendered in the rough, high-relief style typical of hammered Livonian silver. A circular Latin legend reading GVILHELM · D · G · AR · EPIS · RIG surrounds the central device, identifying Wilhelm as Archbishop of Riga by the grace of God. A small cross precedes the legend at the top of the coin. The overall composition is enclosed within a plain inner border, consistent with joint-issue coinage of the Livonian Confederation period.
