Reverse description A crowned shield of Reval bearing a cross, centrally placed within a beaded inner circle. The shield displays the arms of the city surmounted by a prominent royal crown with clearly defined arches and balls. The date 61 (for 1561) appears in the legend field, flanked by pellet stops, with the full mint legend distributed around the periphery in Latin capitals. The die work reflects the typical style of Reval municipal coinage of the period.
