| Obverse lettering | ARCHD. ANDERSON`S PROVISION * WARE-HOUSE * |
| Reverse description | The central field depicts a whole ham suspended above two hogshead casks, rendered in low relief as a direct trade emblem advertising Anderson's provisions business. The merchant's address legend 106 KING STREET * GLASGOW * encircles the design along the border in raised Latin capitals, separated by small ornamental stops. The entire composition is enclosed within a continuous toothed milled border matching the obverse. The imagery is a clear and functional declaration of the issuer's trade and location, typical of Scottish Conder token iconography of the 1790s. |
