Reverse description A crowned Tudor rose displaying a single layer of petals, centrally positioned within the field. A single-arched crown surmounts the rose, consistent with the long-legend type 4a classification. A mintmark appears at approximately 11 o'clock, and the outer legend carries the concluding portion of the royal title in Latin, encircling the central device. The overall design follows the standard format established for the royally licensed Rose farthing issues of the 1630s and early 1640s.
