| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central device consisting of a crowned Tudor rose with a single visible layer of petals surrounding a central boss, the whole surmounted by a royal crown. The rose is rendered in low relief consistent with the hammered technique and the small module of the farthing denomination. A Latin legend occupying the outer field carries the concluding portion of the royal titulature. This reverse type corresponds to either type 4b (legend FRA ET HI REX) or type 4a (legend FRAN ET HIB REX), the two being distinguished by the degree of abbreviation of the French and Irish titles, and paired as mules with the corresponding obverse type. |
