| Obverse description | Central field features the traditional Travancore conch shell (shankha) emblem rendered in high relief within a raised inner circle, the shell depicted with ornate scrollwork, flanking lotus buds, and a trident finial at its crown. The central device is enclosed by a broad border of continuous wreathing composed of stylized leafy branches tied at the base with a ribbon, the entire design contained within a beaded outer rim. The composition is executed in a formal, heraldic style characteristic of late princely-state coinage. |
