Farrukhsiyar's reign from 1713 to 1719 was almost entirely defined by his dependence on the Sayyid Brothers, Husain Ali Khan and Abdullah Khan, who held effective control of the empire and ultimately orchestrated his blinding and murder. The Imtiyazgarh mint, one of the smaller imperial facilities, continued producing these tiny gold fanams throughout — administrative machinery grinding on regardless of who actually held power.
