Reverse description The reverse displays a stylized fish or bird motif occupying the upper portion of the field, depicted in profile facing right, with a curved body rendered in outline relief. Below the animal figure, a rectangular grid of raised pellets or dots arranged in regular rows fills the lower half of the field, a design element characteristic of VOC-issue Cochin fanams. The composition is divided informally by the contrast between the figurative upper device and the geometric pellet field below. No inscription or legend is present. The flan is small and slightly irregular, consistent with hammered silver production.
