Obverse description Broadly struck, irregular copper flan bearing a two-line Arabic legend in the field, reading 'Dawud Shah' (داود شاه), the regnal name of the issuing sultan. The script is executed in a bold, cursive Naskh-influenced hand characteristic of Bahmani coinage, with letters occupying the majority of the central field. The surfaces show typical hammered texture with areas of die weakness at the margins, consistent with the irregular flan preparation of the period.
