| Obverse description | The entire field is occupied by a bold Arabic inscription in Naskh script, struck in high relief on an irregular flan typical of hammered coinage. The legend, rendered in large interlocking characters, fills the coin surface without border or frame. The strike is characteristic of the crude hammered technique employed at Gujarat mint workshops during the mid-sixteenth century. |
