Obverse description Hammered copper flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend in bold, angular script distributed across the field. The inscription reads the royal titulature of Sultan Nasir al-Din Mahmud Shah III, rendered in a characteristic Gujaran Sultanate calligraphic style. The lettering is deeply struck but shows typical irregularity of hand-struck coinage. No figurative motifs are present, the design being entirely epigraphic in character. The coin's irregular flan results in partial legend truncation at the margins.
