Obverse description Irregular square hammered copper flan bearing a two-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh script, divided by a horizontal line across the field. The upper register displays the regnal title and name of Sultan Shihab-ud-Din Mahmud Shah II of the Khilji dynasty of the Malwa Sultanate, while the lower register carries the AH date. The die-struck lettering is raised in relatively high relief against a flat, unadorned field, typical of provincial Malwa coinage of the early sixteenth century.
